The project will take place in Bielsko-Biała – a beautiful city surrounded by mountains with lots of Renaissance style buildings. You can get here with no problems from both airports: Katowice Pyrzowice or Kraków Balice. The distance is more or less the same.

Which airport should you choose?

There are a few airport options within reach of Bielsko-Biała:

Katowice Airport (KTW) – about 1 hour 15 min by car

  • Direct international flights from many European cities
  • Good connections and often budget-friendly

Kraków Airport (KRK) – about 1.5 hours by car

  • Very well-connected, especially for international travelers
  • Trains and buses from the airport to Bielsko-Biała available

Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW) – about 3.5–4 hours by train or car

  • Poland’s largest airport, with the most international options
  • Ideal for overseas flights

How to get from the airport to Bielsko-Biała?

From Katowice or Kraków:

    • By train: Go from the airport to the city center station and catch a direct train to Bielsko-Biała Główna

    • By bus: Flixbus and regional carriers operate between Kraków/Katowice and Bielsko-Biała

    • By car: Renting a car is easy and gives flexibility for scenic travel

From Warsaw:

    • Direct train from Warsaw Central Station to Bielsko-Biała (approx. 4 hours)

A comfortable dance studio located on Osiedle Wojska Polskiego, a short ride from Bielsko-Biała city centre. The studio is equipped with mirrors, professional sound system and locker-room.

Getting there: From the city centre, take bus no. 28 towards Osiedle Wojska Polskiego. The line runs through the centre (3 Maja) and continues via Stawowa towards Os. Wojska Polskiego.

FRIDAY COMPETITION- SMALL STAGE

Miejski Dom Kultury w Straconce
ul. Górska 125, Bielsko-Biała

A welcoming cultural centre in the Straconka district, set right at the foot of the mountains, creating a beautiful setting for the Friday part of the MAHRAGAN Competition.

Getting there: From the city centre you can take bus no. 11 towards Straconka. The closest stop is Górska Kościół, located very close to the venue.

SATURDAY COMPETITION – BIG STAGE

GRAND SPECTACLE – THE FOOL’S JOURNEY

Our Saturday venue  – a large theatre stage where both the main part of the MAHRAGAN Competition and The Fool’s Journey Grand Spectacle will take place.

The venue is located in Czechowice-Dziedzice, outside Bielsko-Biała.

TRANSPORTATION 💚🤎 
We don’t want transportation to be a problem for anyone. We will help arrange transport from Bielsko-Biała to the Saturday venue for everyone who needs it. Closer to the festival, we will contact all participants to check exactly how many people need transportation and organise it accordingly.
You don’t need to arrange this now – we’ll make sure you can get there.

STAGE PROJECT REHEARSALS

MASDAR Studio Rozwoju Kobiecości

All rehearsals for the Stage Project will take place at this cozy and inspiring studio space – home to Tahira and her artistic vision. This is where movement, intention, and magic begin to merge before they hit the big stage.

ACCOMODATION

2026 is a very special year for Bielsko-Biała – the city has been named the first Polish Capital of Culture 🎭✨ This means an exceptionally busy cultural calendar throughout the year and much higher demand for venues and accommodation than usual.

We experienced this ourselves while organising this year’s MAHRAGAN – finding suitable venues this year has been quite an adventure! 😅 Hotel availability for our October weekend is also surprisingly limited, with many hotels already fully booked well in advance.

For this reason, we recommend looking for a private apartments, guesthouses or hostels in or around Bielsko-Biała city centre. This is actually a very convenient base for the festival, with easy access to our Bielsko-Biała venues as well as restaurants, cafés, shops and public transport.

The easiest way to find available options is through Booking.com or Airbnb.

Don’t worry about staying close to our Saturday venue in Czechowice-Dziedzice. We will help arrange transportation from Bielsko-Biała for everyone who needs it. Closer to the festival, we’ll contact participants to check exactly how many people need transportation and organise it accordingly.
